Chequered Flag and Blue Flag<br />
Yellow flag with Black Cross<br />
These flags are shown together at the<br />
start line when a rider(s) immediately<br />
precedes the leader on the final lap before<br />
the finish line.<br />

1.4.3. Flags Which Convey Information and Instructions<br />
Yellow Flag<br />
Danger on this section of the track.<br />
MOTIONLESS<br />
This indicates a possible waved yellow flag<br />
ahead. Overtaking is not permitted.<br />
WAVED<br />
This indicates that there is danger ahead.<br />
The riders must slow down and be<br />
prepared to stop. Overtaking is forbidden<br />
up until the point where the green flag is<br />
shown. Offending riders will be penalised,<br />
see Judicial Procedures.<br />
During the final inspection lap, the yellow<br />
flag must be presented motionless at the<br />
exact place where the flag marshal will be<br />
positioned during practice and races.<br />
White flag with diagonal red This will be displayed at marshals’<br />
cross – SEE ALSO 1.4.4 posts during the whole of the neutralisation<br />
Neutralisation of Races of a race by a safety car.<br />
– SAFETY CAR This is used to neutralise the track in the<br />
event of an incident on the circuit which<br />
may involve marshals or medical staff.<br />
Riders must act ON SEEING THE FLAG,<br />
this may be prior to intervention by the<br />
Safety Car.<br />
Riders must gradually slow down and must<br />
not overtake until the point where the<br />
green flag is shown on the start line after<br />
the withdrawal of the Safety Car.<br />
Offending riders will be penalised, see<br />
Judicial Procedures.<br />
Red Flag or Red Light<br />
The race or practice is being interrupted,<br />
the red flag will be waved at each<br />
marshals post and the red lights around<br />
the circuit will be switched on. Riders must<br />
return slowly to the pits. The pit lane exit<br />
will be closed and the red flag shown<br />
