§ 264B HGB<br />
<strong>Symrise</strong> GmbH & Co. KG is included in the consolidated financial<br />
statements of <strong>Symrise</strong> AG in accordance with the provisions applicable<br />
for corporations and has taken advantage of the exemption<br />
provisions covering preparation, audit and publication of<br />
financial statements pursuant to Section 264b HGB.<br />
Drinkstar GmbH is included in the consolidated financial statements<br />
of <strong>Symrise</strong> AG in accordance with the provisions applicable<br />
for corporations and has taken advantage of the exemption provisions<br />
covering the publication of financial statements pursuant to<br />
Section 264 III HGB.<br />
17. CORPORATE GOVERNANCE<br />
The declaration of compliance made pursuant to Section 161 AktG<br />
has been submitted for 2008 and has been made available to shareholders<br />
on an ongoing basis through our website www.symrise.com.<br />
