The candeia tree grows in the Brazilian highlands. Alpha-bisabolol is obtained
from the oil of the tree. Alpha-bisabolol has an anti-inflammatory effect and is
an important component of many cosmetics products. Symrise is the world’s largest
manufacturer of natural alpha-bisabolol and an important advocate of the principles
of sustainability. We invest a great deal to help preserve the candeia tree in its
natural habitat.
