In its revised Church Order, the regulations relat<strong>in</strong>g to Heidelberg<br />
Catechism preach<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the Canadian <strong>Reformed</strong> <strong>Churches</strong><br />
are conta<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> Article 52:<br />
The consistory shall call the congregation together for worship<br />
twice on the Lord’s Day. The consistory shall ensure that, as a rule,<br />
once every Sunday the doctr<strong>in</strong>e of God’s Word as summarized <strong>in</strong> the<br />
Heidelberg Catechism is proclaimed. 29<br />
Also the Church Order of the Christian <strong>Reformed</strong> Church <strong>in</strong> North<br />
<strong>America</strong> reta<strong>in</strong>s the requirement of regular preach<strong>in</strong>g of the Heidelberg<br />
Catechism. Article 54b reads:<br />
At one of the services each Lord’s Day, the m<strong>in</strong>ister shall ord<strong>in</strong>arily<br />
preach the Word as summarized <strong>in</strong> the Heidelberg Catechism,<br />
follow<strong>in</strong>g its sequence. 30<br />
The <strong>Protestant</strong> <strong>Reformed</strong> <strong>Churches</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>America</strong> (PRC) is another<br />
denom<strong>in</strong>ation of churches committed to the practice of the<br />
regular exposition of the Heidelberg Catechism <strong>in</strong> the public worship<br />
services. Preach<strong>in</strong>g the Heidelberg Catechism has been the<br />
practice of these churches from the time of their organization <strong>in</strong><br />
the early 1920s. The practice is currently followed by all the m<strong>in</strong>isters<br />
<strong>in</strong> all the congregations of the denom<strong>in</strong>ation. Article 68 of<br />
the Church Order of the PRC stipulates:<br />
