covenant s<strong>in</strong>ce Calv<strong>in</strong>’s day ought not surprise us. It is now almost<br />
half a millennium s<strong>in</strong>ce the Reformer’s birth. Many have<br />
been the debates and disputes concern<strong>in</strong>g the covenant. Through<br />
the centuries and the controversies, the Spirit of truth has led the<br />
church <strong>in</strong>to a greater understand<strong>in</strong>g of the nature of God’s gracious<br />
covenant with us <strong>in</strong> Jesus Christ.<br />
Next time, Lord will<strong>in</strong>g, we shall consider Calv<strong>in</strong>’s teach<strong>in</strong>g<br />
on the bless<strong>in</strong>gs of the covenant. ●<br />
