Ladies Biking Getaway

Our biking will be along the historic Delaware & Raritan
Canal providing scenic views of the Delaware River.
Biking at Tyler State Park provides us with rich history
of 1700s farms of rural Pennsylvania. We will overnight
at the Weisel Hostel, a 100-year-old country estate
situated within the tranquil setting of Nockamixon
State Park. The hostel offers bunk rooms, bathrooms,
a comfortable community room with a stone fireplace,
and full kitchen. Fee includes Park System leaders,
transportation, lodging, Saturday dinner and Sunday
breakfast. Be sure that your bicycle is in good working
order. All riders must have a bicycle helmet that
complies with U.S. CPSC Safety Standard for Bicycle
Helmets for 5 and older (CPSC label inside helmet).
Rating: Moderate/easy, dirt, gravel, cinder, paved trails.

Hiking
Big Muckshaw Preserve Trek

Head up to Sussex County for this one of a kind hike,
rich in history, geology, and fragile plant communities.
In addition to the unusual geology of sinking streams,
ponds and caves, this preserve protects some of the
most unusual plant species in NJ. One of the sink holes
was said to be a hide out for a revolutionary spy!
Rating: Moderate, rocky trails, wet, overlooks. Miles: 5.2

Challenge yourself climbing up the cargo tube, clipping
into a pulley system and walking on cables at 35’ and
then head down on the 200’ zip-line. Experience
personal growth as you move beyond your fears and
limitations using courage and the support of the group.
If your schedule allows, be sure to pack a picnic lunch to
enjoy before or after the program.

Thriller Night Zipline
(ages 12 and up, under 18 with adult)
“Grizzly ghouls from every tomb are closing in to seal your
doom!” Your only way of survival is to climb the cargo
tube, walk on a series of cables 35 feet above the haunted
grounds of the challenge course, and zip down to safety.
All safety equipment, harnesses and helmets are provided.
