Technology

Combine the fresh air of Monmouth County parks with
the high tech of smartphone apps for new adventures.
Learn about apps for hiking, plant identification,
geocaching, even bird watching. Each class will begin
with discussing and downloading apps (all free) before
going outdoors to put them to work and get some
exercise. Please Note: Fully-charged iPhone or Android
capable of downloading applications required.

On the Water
Ride the Waves - Level 3

Want to feel the rush of riding an ocean wave Join us
as we go over the basics of playing in the surf on sit-ontop
kayaks. We will cover safety, techniques, and catch
a few surfs. All equipment is provided. Solo and tandem
sit-on-top kayaks available. Attendance at the pre-trip
orientation is mandatory.

Ballroom Smooth Dancing

This program will provide the techniques to allow you
to enjoy an evening of dancing. Includes the Foxtrot
basic and alternate rhythms, the Waltz both in a box
and traveling around a room, and the Tango. Time
permitting, a short time may be spent on Merengue.

Introduction to Guitar
(ages 12 and up)
In eight weeks you might not sound like Chet Atkins or
Andres Segovia, but you will have built the foundation
of knowledge and skills to develop your abilities as far
as you want. The course, using the Mel Bay method,
will cover reading music, tablature, fingering and the
nuances of timing and dynamics.

Aerostep is a cardiovascular training program combining
low impact and step aerobics. This program provides
a warm-up section, 30 minutes of low-impact/step
aerobics, body conditioning and a cool down section.
Beginner step athletes are welcome.
