AT THE BARRACKS.<br />

By kind permission of Major Carter Campbell,<br />

commanding troops, Hamilton, a grand<br />

assault at-arms and concert took place in the<br />

Garrison Gymnasium under the conductorship<br />

of G.-B.-M. H. Taylor of the Army gymnastic<br />

staff. <strong>The</strong> gymna.sium was crowded, the front<br />

seats being occupied by several of the townspeople.<br />

<strong>The</strong> following officers graced the pro.<br />

ceedings with their presence :.-Captain Chaplin,<br />
