Black Watch forwards raised the siege, and. rushing
down the field. sent in a shot which LeeR did not hold,
and the Black Watch centre. forward again rushed the
ball into the net. The ball was in mid-field when the
whiRtJe blew, with the score-:-Black Watch, 3; H.!'.I., 1.
The Rlack \Vatch certainly deserved their victory.
They played with much more' dash than our team, who
~ee:m:d to be afraid to let themselyes go. Turning to
mdlvldual players, Lees was not so safe in goal as
usual; Ct>ldwell was the better of the two backs, Lambie
not being eo steady as usual. The halyes all worked
hard, and were th" best part of the team. The forwards
were bad, the right wing never being very dangerous.
M'Donald was disappointing, Lowrie and Bristow being
t~e best of a poor line.. Our opponents were a very
different team tc· that which play-ea at Cork the previous
week. The forwards played with any amouut of dash,
and the baeks and goalkeeper were very sound.
