Ifthe forthwith demolition of a structure is required by an action au
thorized by the Public Safety Duector ofthe City to protect the public
health or safety said actionshall take precedence overthe provisions of
thisChapter
Nothing in this Chapter shall be construed to prevent the correction of
any deterioration or damage to an area place building structure work
of art or other object and restoration to its condition prior tosuch dete
rioration or damage

The fees for aHPD or FIP application for aCertificateofAppropriateness shall
bepursuant to Section 1173 06
1134 12 AFFIRMATIVE MAINTENANCE
Every owner operator or agent of any property which has been determined
HPD or HP shall keep in good repair all ofthe exterior portions and all interior
portions thereofwhich ifnot so maintained may cause or tend to cause the exte
riorportion ofsuch azea place building or structure work of art or other object
to deteriorate decay or become damagedpr otherwise fall into astate ofdisre
pasEvery owner operator or agent of any property which has been determined
HPD or HP shall further keep in good repair all portions of any azea place
building or structure work of art or other object which ifnot so maintained
may cause or tend to cause such portions to deteriorate decay orbecome dam

plan for protecting each portion of any area place buiding or

2 Structurally stabilizing each Improvement and Improvement
