Chapter 915 Water Rates of the Codified Ordinances of the City ofLakewood for the purpose
of adjusting water rates charged against each lot parcel of land or premises which may have an
active water connecfion with theMunicipal water system
WHEREAS sufficient revenues are required to recover costs budgeted for the operations
ofthe Water Distribution System and
WHEREAS confinued decreases in consumpfion of water has a negative impact on
revenues received overtime and
WHEREAS sufficient dollars are required to meet scheduled debt service payments and
WHEREAS in order to offset the increases in the purchased water from the City of
Cleveland to the City as well as the continuing increases in the costs of operations it is necessary
for the City to increase the rates charged
Now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BYTHE CITY OF LAKEWOOD STATE OF OHIO
Section L That Chapter 915 Water Rates of the Codified Ordinances of the City of
Lakewood currently reads as follows
915 01 ESTABLTSHMENT OF RATES
The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to establish water
rates
charged monthly by the Division ofWater and Wastewater Collections as follows
a Effective January 1 2006 all water used during each one month billing period
shall cost not more than three and eighty five hundredths dollars 385 per
one hundred cubic feet ofwater
b Effective January 1 2007 all water used during each one month billing period
shall cost not more than four and seventy five hundredths dollars475 per
one hundred cubic feet ofwater
