Appendix C – Changes to Directives, Instructions and Regulations<br />
C.1 INTRODUCTION<br />
Implementation of capabilities-based test<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> a jo<strong>in</strong>t environment must be facilitated by the<br />
modification of applicable policy and procedural provisions <strong>in</strong> directives, <strong>in</strong>structions and<br />
regulations issued by the DoD and the CJCS. As the DoD and CJCS documents are modified,<br />
implement<strong>in</strong>g Service, Defense Agency, and CoCom publications and policy statements will<br />
require appropriate revisions to support test<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> a jo<strong>in</strong>t environment.<br />
C.2 SCOPE<br />
Thirty relevant DoD and CJCS policies and regulations related to T&E, requirements<br />
generation, acquisition, <strong>in</strong>teroperability, as well as the technical and management discipl<strong>in</strong>es that<br />
will affect the execution of test<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> a jo<strong>in</strong>t environment were exam<strong>in</strong>ed. The purpose was to<br />
identify specific areas where changes are required to <strong>in</strong>stitutionalize such test<strong>in</strong>g. The follow<strong>in</strong>g<br />
publications are subject to potential revision dur<strong>in</strong>g the implementation plann<strong>in</strong>g to <strong>in</strong>corporate<br />
provisions applicable to capabilities-based test<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> a jo<strong>in</strong>t environment.<br />
