During recently concluded negotiations with all three bargaining units, an agreement was
reached to increase the percentage of tuition remission for immediate family member from 50%
to 67%. The following caveat was also included in the negotiated Agreement: “If at any time,
the System combines tuition and fee costs into a single tuition charge an amount equal to the
previously applicable fee schedule will remain the responsibility of the student. This tuition
remission is not available for correspondence courses or online courses for non-spouses unless
the dependent is a student enrolled in at least two (2) on campus courses”.
Attached are copies of Board Policies 5510 and 5511 with the changes.
These changes have been made in accordance with Article XIV of the Board By-Laws, Revisor
of Board By-Laws and Policies, and Board Policy 2010, Duties of the Chancellor.
