Showers & toilet facilities
Showers and toilets are on the 4 th floor in the Relatives and Friends room.
These are for parents and families. You will be shown these when you are given
a tour of the ward.
Telephones
Mobile telephones must not be used inside Peter Mac. Public telephones
are on the ground floor, main building, near the cashier’s office.
Television
The hospital asks that private televisions, videos and other electrical appliances
are not brought into the ward. These are already provided in the ward.
Vending machines
These are located on the ground floor, main building, near the entrance
to the outpatient clinic area.
Visitors
A prerequisite for all visitors is that they don’t have coughs and colds,
and have not been in recent contact with infectious diseases. Everybody
entering the ward must wash their hands and use the hand gel provided
at several places in the ward.
Visiting hours are flexible until 8:00 pm. However we try to maintain a rest
period between 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm and ask that you limit the number
of visitors during this time. Generally the number of visitors should be small.
The hospital staff may ask people to leave if there are too many people in the
room or if their behaviour is not appropriate.
