7. Miscellaneous<br />

8. General<br />
The charges for fairs <strong>and</strong> exhibitions apply to all services performed by the forwarding<br />
agent in connection with the transport of goods to <strong>and</strong> from fairs <strong>and</strong> exhibitions<br />
for exhibitors. The forwarding agent’s charges are subject to current, valid conditions,<br />
wages <strong>and</strong> tariffs are based on a five-day week (Monday - Friday). The st<strong>and</strong>ard<br />
tarif rates are calculated on a net basis. Value added tax is added separately to<br />
forwarding invoices in accordance with the statutory provisions.<br />
The liability of the forwarding agent ends upon unloading of goods at the exhibitor’s<br />
st<strong>and</strong>, even if the exhibitor or his representative is not yet in attendance. Delivery is<br />
made from the first official assemply day at the designated exhibition st<strong>and</strong>s. In case<br />
of return transportation, liability on the part of the forwarding agent does not take<br />
effect proir to collection from the st<strong>and</strong>, even if the transport documents are previously<br />
deposited at the office of forwarding agent.<br />
Collection <strong>and</strong> storage of empty packaging during the exhibition shall be subject to<br />
a separate agreement. If empty packaging is still on the st<strong>and</strong> immediately prior to<br />
the opening of an event, this can be removed by the fair forwarding agent by virtue<br />
of instructions by exhibition management at exhibitor’s costs, even in absence of an<br />
order from the exhibitor. For organisational reasons, empty packaging is returned as<br />
soon as practicable following the close of exhibition.<br />
Packaging with contents (full packaging) must be declared separately upon placing<br />
an order. Special applications must be made for the insurance of empty or full<br />
packaging during storage.<br />
Complaints must be submitted in writing at the office of the fair <strong>and</strong> exhibition forwarding<br />
agent immediately following receipt of the goods, verbal notification is not<br />
adequate.
