To calculate the total heat removed from air that has gone through an<br />
evaporator<br />
Use a digital sling psychrometer or a sling psychrometer <strong>and</strong>; familiarize yourself with its<br />
operation.<br />
(1) Wet the bulb with distilled water for a sling psychrometer; obtain the wet bulb <strong>and</strong> dry<br />
bulb reading <strong>of</strong> the air going into the fan coil. Leave the psychrometer in the air until the<br />
wet bulb stops moving (this may take 5 minutes or more).<br />

(2) Using a digital sling psychrometer or the sling psychrometer obtain the wet<br />
bulb <strong>and</strong> dry bulb reading <strong>of</strong> the air coming out <strong>of</strong> the fan coil. Leave the psychrometer in<br />
the air until the wet bulb stops moving (this may take 5 minutes).<br />
