The seminar is designed in a theoretical and practical part:
The first part mainly focuses on lectures respectively reports broaching the issues of basics in
international security- and defence-policy, which will be recited by the attendants as an exam
performance.
The second part will demand an active management-role of the participants in the planning, organizing,
execution and post-processing of an symposium with diverse workshops on security-political key-issues.
The symposium will take place on the 26th of June 2010 at the Parliament of Thuringia. Further
information concerning the seminar will be announced at the opening session.

Erfurt is among the cities famous for its connection to Martin Luther, as he lived, studied and taught in
Erfurt for ten years. The university and
the Augustinian monastery were important for his development. The lecture presents the sites in Erfurt
Luther is connected to plus its influence on the Reformer. Excursions are part of the
interdisciplinary seminar.
A meeting to prepare the seminar will be on 7-04-2010 at 2 p.m., Kiliani-Kapelle, Domstraße 10.

thinking, called scholasticism. Students are asked to present essays on different biographies.
For admission students are requested to take a test during the first meeting about Josef Pieper:
