The written word and the reader are receiving a relationship between two: human being and word. The
played scene of the actor is receiving a relationship with the spectator: human being and many humans.
Beside the word of the actor work thereby a multiplicity of other factors with: the atmosphere of the
area, the lighting, the used costumes, the stage props and the scenery, the body attitude of the player,
the vocal presentation of text, sound, music…
In our seminar we will read literary texts of different kinds and provide production concepts for these
texts. Here we use literature and theatre-theoretical texts. Apart from the theoretical discussion we will
plan and perform theatrical productions. This can be a play reading, a literature performance or a theatre
performance.
The course understands itself also as contribution to the initiative for a students theatre in Erfurt. A cooperation
with the student theatre activities is aimed at.
