500 Baháâuâlláh and the New Eraand adjust the relationships of all races and peoples. A worldexecutive, backed by an international Force, will carry out thedecisions arrived at, and apply the laws enacted by, this worldlegislature, and will safeguard the organic unity of the wholecommonwealth. A world tribunal will ajudicate and deliver itscompulsory and final verdict in all and any disputes that mayarise between the various elements constituting this universalsystem. A mechanism of world intercommunication will bedevised, embracing the whole planet, freed from nationalhindrances and restrictions, and functioning with marvelousswiftness and perfect regularity. A world metropolis willact as the nerve center of a world civilization, the focustowards which the unifying forces of life will converge andfrom which its energizing influences will radiate. A worldlanguage will either be invented or chosen from among theexisting languages and will be taught in the schools of allthe federated nations as an auxiliary to their mother tongue.A world script, a world literature, a uniform and universalsystem of currency, of weights and measures, will simplifyand facilitate intercourse and understanding among the nationsand races of mankind. In such a world society, scienceand religion, the two most potent forces in human life, willbe reconciled, will cöoperate, and will harmoniously develop.The press will, under such a system, while giving full scopeto the expression of the diversified views and convictions ofmankind, cease to be mischievously manipulated by vestedinterests, whether private or public, and will be liberated fromthe influence of contending governments and peoples. Theeconomic resources of the world will be organized, its sourcesof raw materials will be tapped and fully utilized, its marketswill be cöordinated and developed, and the distribution of itsproducts will be equitably regulated.National rivalries, hatred, and intrigues will cease, andracial animosity and prejudice will be replaced by racial amity,understanding and cöoperation.
