MAZANÝ FILIP
Filmová podoba stejnojmenné divadelní hry divadla Sklep, ve které však přesilovku hrají herci
z jiných divadel. Příběh, odehrávající se v Los Angeles třicátých let, je parodií na klasické detektivky
Raymonda Chandlera, slavného autora americké staré drsné školy. Jeho detektiv Philip Marlowe
je pravým opakem úspěšného muže, je spíše romantickým kovbojem, který bere zákon do svých
rukou v drsné prérii velkoměst. Ačkoliv je sekáč, jeho vztahy se ženami jsou více než problematické.
Umí všechno, jen ne se slušně uživit. Nikdy se však neprodá. Ani za peníze, za hrozby, či za přízeň
krásných žen. Jakmile si totiž někdo objedná služby Phila Marlowa, je v tom určitě nějaká
lumpárna tohoto světa lži a násilí…
A film version of the play of the same name put on by Prague’s Sklep Theater ensemble. Set in
Los Angeles in the thirties, the story parodies the work of hardboiled detective writer Raymond
Chandler. His detective, Philip Marlowe, is the diametric opposite of the successful man, preferring
to play the role of the romantic cowboy who takes the law into his own hands as he seeks justice
on the outskirts of the metropolis. Though a swell guy, his relationships with women are more than
problematic. He seems to know everything except how to earn a proper living. But he can’t be
bought, not with money, threats, or the favor of a beautiful dame. When Phil Marlowe is on the
job you can bet some swindle has gone down in this world of lies and violence…
VÁCLAV MARHOUL (1960), režisér, producent. V roce 1984
absolvoval obor produkce na AMU, poté pracoval ve FS Barrandov.
Je členem divadla Sklep a výtvarné umělecké skupiny Tvrdohlaví. Od
roku 1994 je nezávislým producentem, v současnosti provozuje
Galerii Tvrdohlaví.

VÁCLAV MARHOUL (b. 1960), director and producer. In 1984
graduated in production from the Academy of Performing Arts, then
worked for Barrandov Studios. He is a member of Prague’s Sklep
Theater ensemble and of the Tvrdohlaví fine arts group. He has
produced independently since 1994, and currently runs the
Tvrdohlaví Gallery.
