SENTIMENT<br />
<strong>Film</strong>ová esej inspirovaná důvěrným vztahem Tomáše Hejtmánka k legendě české kinematografie,<br />
režiséru Františku Vláčilovi. Původním záměrem bylo zachytit setkání, Vláčilova smrt ale představu<br />
posunula k novému tvaru. <strong>Film</strong> je průnikem mezi reminiscencí, hraným filmem a dokumentem,<br />
několikanásobnou citací k poctě myšlení, cítění a tvorby. Vláčila hraje Jiří Kodet – respektive jím<br />
je v nepřetržitosti zápisu, jedinou odchylkou je tedy jiná tvář, nikoliv jiný jazyk. Cílem snímku není<br />
se dozvědět, divák již naopak musí vědět, vstupovat do filmu se znalostí režisérova díla, vrstev<br />
obrazů a zvukových šlépějí…<br />
A film essay inspired by the close friendship between Tomáš Hejtmánek and <strong>Czech</strong> cinema<br />
legend, director František Vláčil. Originally intended as a friendly dialogue, Vláčil’s death forced<br />
the project to adopt a new tack. The result is a fusion of reminiscences, drama, documentary, and<br />
countless citations honoring thought, feeling, and creation. <strong>Czech</strong> veteran Jiří Kodet plays Vláčil,<br />
the only real difference being the face, never the language. The goal of the film is not to get to<br />
know Vláčil; on the contrary, the viewer must come to the film with foreknowledge of the<br />
director’s works, of the layers of his images and audio traces…<br />
TOMÁŠ HEJTMÁNEK (1971), režisér, producent. V roce 1997<br />
absolvoval na katedře dokumentární tvorby FAMU v Praze.<br />
V roce 1992 byl na stáži ve francouzském Montpellier. V roce 1995<br />
byl přijat na Royal College of Art v Londýně (film a TV), ke studiu<br />
však nenastoupil.<br />

TOMÁŠ HEJTMÁNEK (b. 1971), director and producer, graduated<br />
in documentary filmmaking from Prague’s <strong>Film</strong> Academy (FAMU)<br />
in 1997. In 1992 he studied in Montpellier, France, and in 1995<br />
he was accepted to the Royal College of Art, London (film and TV)<br />
but chose not to attend.<br />
