This is to keep the length of the cap wire, plus firing line, fromaccidentally blowing over the power line. Other means of achieving this include capwire catchers or sand bags sufficient to stop the cap wire blowing out of the hole.6) Use extreme caution when working near bulldozers, woodgators, or chain sawswhen clearing the line.7) Surveyors should attempt to utilize existing trails for survey lines and access routeswherever possible.3.13.1 Brush/ Line Cutting1) Brush/ Line cutters should receive and use the following Personal ProtectiveEquipment (PPE):a) Friction tape on the tool handles.b) Work boots that should include ankle support and protection.c) Shin protectors.d) Hard hat.e) First aid kit (one per work unit).f) Machete sheath.g) Eye protection.
