15) Do not attempt to load a flowing hole. Attempt to plug it and immediately notifythe Party Manager.4.1.6 Shot Point Completion and Clean Up1) Do not leave any refuse at the rig location. Do not burn trash at the location.Remove it for proper disposal.2) Do not drill shot holes or ram charges deeper than the limit set by the regulationsor the permit.3) Before moving, always visually inspect the machine for dragging items, loosearticles, proper equipment, etc. Be sure spare equipment, pipe and tools aresecure.4) If a rig is backed from a shot hole onto a road, a helper should act as a guideand, if necessary, stop traffic to ensure that the maneuver is carried out safely.5) Before moving a rig to a new location, always shut the engine off if it is separatefrom the vehicle engine.6) Do not move a rig with the mast raised.7) With pattern drilling/ramming, the rig can be moved short distances withoutlowering the mast but only if the shot points are on level ground and there are nooverhead obstructions.4.2 Instructions For Specific Rig Types4.2.1 Truck Drills and Buggy Drills1) There should be a support vehicle at or in contact with the drill location to be usedin case of emergency.2) The mud pit, return ditch and sump hole should be filled in immediately after ashot hole has been drilled.Page 72 of 136
