QUARTOSEPTCENTENNIAL SPECIAL SOUVENIRCollege UnionSociety ActivitiesThe first major event of the academic year organized bythe CUS was a cancer awareness campaign. The speaker ofthe day was Dr Mallika from the Cancer Institute in Chennai.She answered all queries and also made the students andteachers aware of the different kinds of cancer and thevarious precautions to be taken.The tradition of ‘Theatre Nights’ was revived by the CUS. Atheatre night was organized on the 17 th and 18 th September2012. The show comprised two short plays and one fulllength play on both the days. The newly founded theatre club‘Theatre no. 59’ managed to pull off a successful show.The CUS organized a campus cleaning drive on the 21 stSeptember.
