DETERMINED to implement this Agreement with the objectives to preserve andprotect the environment and to ensure the use of natural resources in accordance withthe principle of sustainable development;AFFIRMING their commitment to the rule of law, to prevent and combat corruption ininternational trade and investment and to promote the principles of transparency andgood governance;ACKNOWLEDGING the significance of responsible corporate conduct and itscontribution to sustainable economic development and affirming their support to effortsfor the promotion of relevant international standards;DECLARING their readiness to examine the possibility of developing and deepeningtheir economic relations in order to extend them to fields not covered by thisAgreement;CONVINCED that this Agreement will enhance the competitiveness of their firms inglobal markets and create conditions encouraging economic, trade and investmentrelations between them;HAVE DECIDED, in pursuit of the above, to conclude the following Agreement(hereinafter referred to as “this Agreement”):IV
