Concluding RemarkA. As a country with a specific geographical situation, Indonesia relies upon <strong>the</strong>application <strong>of</strong> space science and technology to preserve its unity and promote prosperity;B. Based on its present and future national interests, Indonesia’s national space policies,priorities and programs have been outlined in a policy-making <strong>for</strong>um;C. Financial constraints and lack <strong>of</strong> coordination among relevant institutions createdifficulties in fully implementing national space policies;D. Ef<strong>for</strong>ts toward developing national space law as a part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> national legal system isunderway and showing some progress, including ratifying relevant international legal instrumentsand <strong>the</strong> finalization <strong>of</strong> a draft national Space Act;E. There is a need <strong>for</strong> reorientation <strong>of</strong> space policies and re<strong>for</strong>mation <strong>of</strong> relevantinstitutions in order to catch-up with recent trends and development, including commercialization,privatization and globalization <strong>of</strong> space activities.
