Cross Country RunnersLeft to Right : Klug Augustine. Anda, Brandt, Coulter, Anderson, WeindorfCross Country RunningTrack is a very strenuous sport. It must bemarveled at the large number that turn out forpractice. Of course some drop out, but they doin every sport. A track man must practice everyday. He must eat light and nourishing food andhe must get his daily rest. Steady and regulartraining is another important factor in preparingfor Cross Country. The race is run over a twomile stretch and the course lies over hills and valleys.Track is gaining an increasing interest atthe Northwest School. Members of the nineteenthirty-six squad who did not receive their honoraryemblems were: Augustine, L. Hanson, Lokken,Arness and Ingeman.The Trip to St. PaulThe Track team met the St. Paul <strong>Aggie</strong>s attheir course. The St. Paul <strong>Aggie</strong>s turned out tobe a bunch of tough fellows when it came to winning-infact a little too tough. At the St. PaulA. C., tack is their principal fall term sport. Theyran an undefeated schedule this year. The N. W.<strong>Aggie</strong>s were royally entertained at St. Paul. Ouropponents, although tough on the course, wereregular fellows. The track team spent three daysat the Twin Cities taking in the Minnesota-Iowafootball game and many interesting scenes. Themembers of the squad that made the trip were:Capt. Coulter, Brandt, Klug, Anderson, Anda andWeindorf.Page 20
