cxi97 CHAPTER -X98 AWARENESS AND INVOLVEMENT OF SUPERVISORY CADRE (OF ICDS) ONACTIVITIES OF GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDRENThis chapter discuses, in two sections A (Mukhya Sevika)& B (CDPO), awareness andinvolvement of the supervisory cadre of ICDS programme ( Mukhya Sevikas and CDPOs) ondevelopment and growth of children ages 3 to 3.5 years and 5 to 5.5 years in theintervention districts. In the case of CDPOs, data was also available for the control district(Raigarh) It starts with information on their demographic profile, training and their workexperience with functioning of the AWCs. This chapter presents only the highlights of theinformation collected on aspects related to growth and development of children. Moredetailed tables on other aspects are given in Tables 10.1A to 10.37A for Mukhya Sevika and10.38A to 10.60A for CDPO in the Annexure-299 10.1 Mukhya Sevika10.1.1 Profile of Mukhya SevikasMost of the respondents in this category belonged to ST (because of coverage of district ofKorba), had education of 10 or more years, were working for more than 10 years in thisposition and were of ages 40 years and above. (For more details, see Table 10.1A and Table10.2A in Annexure -2).10.1.2 Training on sessions in pre-school educationThe supervisors reported to have received training on all components of ICDS for which theyare responsible.
