The access door isconnected to the fixture by a safety cable. You can leave the doorattached, www.sxsevents.co.ukor you can unclip the safety cable to completely remove thedoor from the fixture.Wipe the inner surfaces with a soft cloth or use a vacuum to remove thedust and dirt. If you use a vacuum on the fan, stabilize the fan bladeswith an object (not your finger!), such as a pen or a screwdriver, toprevent the fan from spinning (see Figure 3-12). Allowing the fan tospin with the force of the compressed air could damage the fan.Locate the power lens, stepper motors, gobo wheel, color wheel,sensors, shutter, hot mirror, and reflector (see Figure 3-12).powerlenscolorwheelshutterhotmirrorfanstepper motors gobo wheel sensors reflectorFigure 3-12. Trackspot internal componentsClean the stepper motors, shutter, and reflector with a soft dustingbrush or low-pressure compressed air source to remove accumulateddirt and dust.Clean the hot mirror and power lens with a soft cloth and mild glasscleaning solution.To clean the color wheel, gobo wheel, and their sensors, you mustremove each wheel from the fixture. To remove either the color or gobo wheel:1. Pull up on the wheel toslide the large ends of thekeyhole slot over the hexscrew heads, and pull outto remove the wheel (seeFigure 3-14).Locate the sensor below thewheel (see Figure 3-15).Gently clean the sensor’sgroove with either a cottonswab dipped in mild glasscleaner or with compressedair.Clean the dichroic filters orgobos on the wheel with a mildglass cleaner and a clean, softcloth.
