Color temperature, in turn, relies onthe concept of the black body.A black body is a theoretical object that absorbs all of theenergy that contacts it. Heating a black body causes it to emitradiation. When the spectral composition of a black bodymatches the spectral composition of a white light source, thetemperature of the black body (in degrees Kelvin) is the colortemperature of the light source.For example, a light source that is rated at 3200° Kelvin (suchas the light source used in Trackspot) matches the radiation ofa black body heated to 3200° Kelvin.Because not all light sources exhibit a smooth spectral powerdistribution, color temperature is an approximate measure of alamp’s spectral output.ConstructsFeatures of the fixture (such as color wheel, gobo wheel andshutter).
