<strong>Sweet</strong> <strong>Briar</strong> <strong>College</strong>Prerequisites: ENVR 215 and ECON 342. Anindependent field or computer research projectselected and carried out in consultation witha faculty sponsor. A written report and anoral presentation are required. In addition toresearch time, a weekly one-hour meeting withthe advisor and periodic meetings with otherresearch students will be required.An independent laboratory, field, or computerresearch project selected and carried out inconsultation with a faculty sponsor. Pursuit of an upper level researchproject determined in advance by the student inconsultation with a faculty member who will actas the sponsor.Although there is no major or minor inEquine Studies, a certificate is offered forstudents interested in a career in the equineindustry and for the student/amateur whowould enjoy expanding her knowledge andexperience in this area. The certificate is availablein a management concentration and in ateaching and schooling concentration, and maybe elected by students majoring in any departmentof the <strong>College</strong>.
