The Miller Sunset Serenade program, an hour show on Saturday afternoons, has been presented at Miller’s own

When the ARM edict cancelling all remote broadcasts from the Mutual net came through it was interpreted as including Miller’s show, even though he presented it in the studio of the local Mutual outlet, KHJ.” (DB, April 15, 1942) Although the Sunset Serenades were cancelled Miller continued to give away radios and records to the camps now on the Chesterfield show. According to the Glenn Miller the Sunset Serenades were broadcast until May 30 th so that the above mentioned “order” may not have become effective until May 30 th . “Glenn Miller’s cigaret show has bee renewed for another 13 weeks, bringing it up to June 29. Now heard Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, the sponsor is endeavoring to change the time (on CBS) to two 30-minute programs a week.
