As stage show go it hasn’t really got much, but the<br />

Miller band packs a staggering punch with the customers and<br />

as Miller is what they want to hear that’s what they get.<br />

The band does four tunes winding up with the inevitable<br />

Chattanooga Choo Choo and spots Marion Hutton, Tex Beneke,<br />

Skip Nelson and the Modernaires in solos and in<br />

combinations.<br />

Al Bernie gives radio imitations and satires. The<br />

whole show lasts something under 45 minutes but none of the<br />

customers complained. On the contrary they shouted<br />

themselves silly.” (Variety, Sept. 16, 1942)<br />

According to GMPR the band did a total of 37 shows. Glenn<br />

Miller stayed at the <strong>Hotel</strong> Statler while in Boston. (GMPR)<br />
