Carbide dies are obtainablein .38-.357, 9mm Parabellum, .30 MI Carbine,.44 Magnum, and .45 ACP. Steel diesare also provided at slightly less cost, but ifone is going to utilize the speed and ease ofsemi-progressive presses he must alwaysthink seriously of the carbide resizer.Once a case is resized and deprimed, it istaken to the left front station for repriming,belling, and powder charging. This is aunique operation, one which actually beginswhen the case is being resized. At thattime, the reloader, thinking ahead, worksthe Auto Prime device by pushing itsspring-loaded knob. This carries a freshprimer to the priming arm which runsthrough the second station. With the primerin place, the hand-loader lowers theslide only enough to reach the resized case,extract it from that shell loader, and bringit to the second holder. Then, final loweringof the slide performs the reprimingoperation. Thus, just one up-and-downmove is all that's needed to accomplishresizing, depriming, and repriming.BELLING & POWDER CHARGINGBelling and powder charging are alsohandled quickly at station No.2. Leavingthe freshly primed case in the secondholder, the handle is lowered once again toelevate the slide and bring the case mouthinto contact with the top-mounted expanderdie. This, happily, opens the casemouth just enough to allow easy bulletseating without nicking or shaving thebullet; in fact, the eye can hardly detect themouth expansion.
