It was not possible to constructlength-frequency distributions due to thesmall number of juveniles caught in thetidal channels. It is likely that the observationsin the tidal channels started afterthe maximum recruitment period for thisspecies.In contrast, a large number of L. saliensYOY individuals were captured in the lagoonbasin. They were found at all stations(Figure 4). The highest number of juvenileswas captured at station 5 (77.1%) followedby station 2 (8.7%).Chelon labrosusA low number of C. labrosus YOY individualswere collected in April 2007 in theAcquarotta Channel with SL ranging from18.0 to 22.0 mm (Figure 3). In the lagoonbasin, C. labrosus recruits were found onlyat stations 1, 2 and 9, with the highest abundanceoccurring in the latter (88.0%) (Figure6).Sparus aurataS. aurata YOY individuals were collectedfrom December 2006 to April 2007 withSL ranging from 15 to 27.8 mm.
