NAV
Dynamics NAV is one of Microsoft’s business
solutions, which are available both in the European
and the US market. Dynamics NAV streamlines
your business and powers it with the flexibility it
needs to adapt to new opportunities and growth.
The solution has its origin in Denmark in the mid
‘80’es. Microsoft has more than 1.000.000-licensed
users. Dynamics NAV handles both small businesses
and very large solutions with more than 1.500
concurrent users.
Active Business Solutions is a certified partner
of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and has throughout
the years steadily increased their market share
in Scandinavia. All of the company’s consultants
in Scandinavia have worked with the business
solution for at least ten years, and their focus on
quality has not gone by unnoticed by the market.

we do a lot of preparations and make sure that we
have the same level of expectations. It’s important

Microsoft Dynamics NAV is easy to learn, easy to
use and implements quickly. Information about
manufacturing, supply chain management, sales
and marketing, and project management is easily
integrated and stored in the database (native
or Microsoft SQL). Next version will only be
available as a Microsoft SQL database.

Active Business Solutions has developed several
licensed add-on modules for Microsoft Dynamics
NAV. One of the most spectacular solutions is an
integrated module named Active Workflow. The
module represents a step closer to the paperless
offices, as it allows all types of documents to be
scanned and processed into the programme.
In 2010, The Norwegian Association of
Researchers (Forskerforbundet) decided to
centralise accounting for all local branches. They
needed a system that could be integrated with
their existing Dynamics NAV-solution, and handle
central accounting, allowing for decentralized
approval procedures. After a comprehensive study
of different solutions, they chose Active Workflow.
– Active Business Solutions proved to have an
excellent understanding of our needs. Because
Active Workflow is fully integrated solution with
Microsoft Dynamics NAV, we avoided expensive
third-party solutions, says legal advisor in The
Norwegian Association of Researchers, Birgitte
Olafsen.
Journal management at the local branches is now
fully web based, which allows all budget reporting
and accounting to be channelled through the web
portal.
