Nandankanan SanctuaryRight outside the fringe of Bhubaneswar city, Nandankanan sanctuary of 467 ha areahas a natural lake in the middle and a Zoo and a botanical garden on the two sides ofthe lake. Spotted deer, wild boar, langurs, rhesus macaques, porcupine, jungle cats,mongoose, monitor, nesting birds and a variety of reptiles outside the zoo enclosuresconstitute the main wildlife species of the sanctuary.
