Issues in Satkosia Wildlife Sanctuary:Following are the some of the issues identified during the interaction with thevillagers of Tuluka, Bada Kheta, Asan Bahal and Tarava, members of SatkosiyaAvayaranya 'O' Praja Surakhya Samiti, Association of Bamboo Cutters,Tikarpada, Range Officer - Kendu leaf and Wildlife, ACF Wildlife and FES,Angul.Forest Village:There are a total of 97 villages inside the sanctuary area of which 3 are forestvillages namely Tarava, Bhurkundi and Asan Bahal. The then Conservator ofForests Bihar and Orissa established these villages in the year 1910, 1914 and1933 respectively.
