Since nothing apprehended by the senses is known clearlyand distinctly, no sensation is an intuition; and anything knownintuitively (e.g., thinking) cannot be resolved into anything simpler. Tothe extent that any idea is apprehended clearly and distinctly, it isknown as the object solely of the mind, and in that sense can be said tobe innate.
