PP‐54particularly in industrialized areas. Large role in these pathologies become free radicalprocesses, whose intensity depends on the environment. Targeted correction of changes inantioxidant status of the organism may be the introduction of synthetic and naturalantioxidants. In this regard, it is necessary to search and study of drugs with antioxidantactivity. Much interest in extractive substances isolated from the bark of birch.About the antioxidant activity of betulin and extract from outer birch bark, wasconcludid by its ability to influence the activity of enzymes of protective system of cells, aswell as the accumulation of free radical oxidation products under oxidative stress. As theinitiators of oxidative stress using a system of «ascorbate + Fe» at concentrations 0.1 mMand 1.0 mM, respectively. To determine enzyme activity and the number of products of freeradical oxidation from aliquots of samples were taken through the thirty‐minute intervals fortwo hours. In the experimental samples compared to controls, was found to decrease theconcentration of diene conjugates and the activity of superoxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione, glutathione‐S‐transferase. These results indicate that betulin and extract fromouter birch bark exhibits antioxidant activity. It was found that betulin and birch bark extract have the antioxidant, antiulcer andothers properties and prevents the harmful influence of antibiotics with the manifestation ofa direct dose‐effect "and" time‐effect. "The use of betulin and birch bark extracts against theimpact of xenobiotics normalizes the structure of biological membranes, restores thesynthetic function of the liver, improves blood forming organs and prevents thedevelopment of destructive changes in the liver and kidneys.Experiments were conducted on mice shows that betulin has more pronounced antitumoureffects to ascites adenocarcinoma Ehrlich than ethanol birch bark extracts. It wasshown that betulin and birch bark extract may be used for the prevention and treatment oftumors.Comparison of sorption activity industrial enterosorbents sorbent and enterosorbentsfrom the birch bark bast show the competitiveness of the latter to remove the toxin proteinnature. Established that enterosorbent birch bark is an effective and nontoxic drug for thetreatment and prevention of gastrointestinal infections and has a positive effect on thequalitative and quantitative composition of intestinal microflora. This work was supported by a grant program of RAS «Fundamental sciences –medicine».230
