However, you should take extra care during manualacquisition, as follows:• before you select Track mode, make sure that the boat is as closeas possible to track, and that the direction made good over theground is as close as possible to the direction of the next waypoint• positive checks of the boat’s position at regular intervals are vital,especially if you are close to potential navigational hazardsReturning to Auto from Track modeTo return to Auto mode from Track mode:• press auto, or• press -10 and +10 together.Cross track error (XTE)Cross track error (XTE) is the distance between your current positionand the planned route.
