Offer<strong>in</strong>g a one stop shop for<strong>in</strong>teract<strong>in</strong>g with an array <strong>of</strong> experts, this platformprovides a great appeal to its users.Some more characteristics <strong>of</strong> web<strong>in</strong>ars are discussedbelow:A. WHAT IS A WEBINAR‘<strong>Web</strong><strong>in</strong>ar’ is a union <strong>of</strong> ‘web + sem<strong>in</strong>ar’ whichsimply means a sem<strong>in</strong>ar over the <strong>in</strong>ternet. This s<strong>of</strong>twareis a remarkable <strong>in</strong>novation <strong>in</strong> the field <strong>of</strong> technologywhich <strong>of</strong>fers a platform for people to <strong>in</strong>teract andcollaborate over vast geographical boundaries throughWWW. This platform <strong>of</strong>fers a two-way communicationlead<strong>in</strong>g to higher effectiveness and <strong>in</strong>volvement by theaudience.Typically a web<strong>in</strong>ar consist <strong>of</strong> a presentation hosted bya service provider on a web server. The l<strong>in</strong>k <strong>of</strong> theweb<strong>in</strong>ar is shared with the attendees who can log on tothe site and participate <strong>in</strong> it.
