The connectors illustrated in Figure 10-1 are examplesonly. The connectors may be different than those illustrated, but the steps to connect the scanner are thesame.1. Connect the modular connector of the Scanner Emulation interface cable to the cable interface port on thescanner. See Installing the Interface Cable on page 1-3.2. Connect the other end of the Scanner Emulation interface cable to the scanner port on the mobile computer orcontroller.3. Ensure all connections are secure.4. Scan the Scanner Emulation Host on page 10-4 to enable the Scanner Emulation host interface.5. To modify any parameter options, scan the appropriate bar codes in this chapter.WARNING!Connect the scanner to 5 volt decoders only. Connecting the scanner to a 12 volt decodercauses damage and invalidates the warranty.
