Zalán Bács, Vice President of the ManagementBoard and Executive Director of Finance FunctionZalán Bács (40) was born in Hungary. In 1990 he graduatedfrom the Chemical Engineering Faculty, TechnicalUniversity of Budapest. Zalán Bács earned his master’sdegree at the Napier University in Scotland in 1992, andattended MBA - Budapest University of Economic Sciencesin 1994. From 1992 till 1995 he was Project Manager atMOL. He also worked as a consultant for Arthur D. Little inLondon from 1994 till 1995. He became General Managerof MOL Romania in 1996, and from 1997 till 2000 he wasHead of Resource Allocation at MOL. From 2000 till 2003Mr Bács was Chief Controller of the MOL Group. For sometime he was Chief Financial Officer of the leading chemicalcompany TVK, a member of the MOL Group. Before beingVice President of the INA Management Board he was amember of the Board and director of Corporate Servicesfunction at INA.Mirko ZeliÊ, Member of the Board and ExecutiveDirector of Oil and Gas Exploration and ProductionMirko ZeliÊ (72) Ph.D., P.E. joined the Management Boardof INA from the Faculty of Mining, Geology and PetroleumEngineering of Zagreb University where he had been aprofessor. In 1964 he graduated from the Faculty (RGNFaculty) where he also earned his doctor’s degree in 1982.His working life commenced in 1964 at INA-Naftaplin,where he has been continuously engaged in a number ofmanagerial positions. He has been a full professor at theFaculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering.He also lectures in postgraduate studies at the RGNand at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and NavalArchitecture in Zagreb. He is the author of five books,over forty scientific and professional papers, an array ofinnovations and one patent in the petroleum field.
