As part of safety and environmental protection programmes,the 2.4 km section of oil pipeline from Struæecto the Sisak refinery was replaced. Regular annual overhaulon the Molve gas treatment plant and the Ethane plant atIvaniÊ Grad was performed in September 2007.The Ethane plant at IvaniÊ Grad produced 97,028 tonnesof LPG and 59,734 tonnes of ethane.In accordance with consumers’ needs, in 2007 INAproduced 0.4 million cm of geothermal water and 2.5million cm of fresh water.In 2007, INA planned CAPEX in the amount of HRK222 million in fixed assets for processing facilities,environmental projects and equipment, of which HRK 189million, or 85%, was realized.The implementation of the Enhanced Oil Recovery(EOR) project on the mature oil fields IvaniÊ and Æuticacontinues. In addition to increased oil production fromthese fields, this project is important because it will alsosignificantly contribute to reduction of CO2 emissions.After approval of the feasibility study, various documentsand studies have been prepared for engineeringsolutions on the Molve gas treatment plant and Ethaneplant where certain volumes of carbon dioxide will becompressed and transported through existing pipelinesto the injection wells on the IvaniÊ and Æutica oil fields.The location permit has been obtained for the IvaniÊfield. The workover operations were performed on partof the injection wells. Procurement of necessary processequipment was also initiated.The works on the Meappleimurje project continued withdrilling of the new VuË-5 well on the VuËkovec field,while VuËkovec-3 and Vukanovec-1 wells were tested.This project is aimed at developing three new naturalgas fields (VuËkovec, Vukanovec and Zebanec) in theMeappleimurje region in the north of the country. Preparationof the project documentation is in progress. Natural gasfrom these wells contains carbon dioxide which wouldbe extracted and also used for injection to improve oilrecovery on the IvaniÊ and Æutica fields .Within the scope of the third development phaseon the North Adriatic project, various design and engineeringdocumentation was prepared for obtaining constructionpermits.Annual report 200739
