(Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong>)DCP <strong>Manual</strong>g) demonstrate knowledge and ability to conduct on a suitable candidate a<strong>Pilot</strong> Proficiency/Instrument Renewal(s), Base <strong>Check</strong>(s) or Line <strong>Check</strong>(s)if required as appropriate on the aircraft or in the Flight SimulationTraining Device on which the DCP has been nominated. Suchdemonstration flight(s) will be monitored and assessed by an Inspectorof Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong>.The DCP Type B nominee, in addition to Para 2.1 (a), shall :a) hold a valid ATPL with a valid Instrument Rating endorsed for type;b) have accumulated a minimum of 1000 flight hours as PIC. One half ofthe second in command time on aircraft or up to 500 hours, can becounted towards the 1,000 hours PIC time.c) have a minimum of 06 (six) months experience as line captain and shallhave minimum 500 hours PIC on Type.d) have a minimum of 06 (six) months experience as line captain and shallhave minimum 200 hours PIC on Type for aircraft below 40,000 kg whichare certified to carry nineteen passenger or less.2.1.2 ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONSIn addition to 2.1.1, an applicant for DCP Type A,a) shall have successfully completed a DCP training programmme / Indepth course or equivalent approved by the authority.b) have a minimum of six (6) months experience as Line Captain on thetype of aircraft for which DCP authority is sought and have accumulatednot less than 500 hours as pilot-in-command on type.c) observe at least two PPCs conducted by a DCP Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong><strong>Authority</strong> prior to getting the rating.d) An inspector of the <strong>Authority</strong>, or a sufficiently senior DCP as approved bythe <strong>Authority</strong>, will observe all DCP applicants conducting a test on an‘applicant’ in an aeroplane/helicopter/simulation device for which DCPauthorization is sought. Items from the ‘Syllabi for training and flight andskill tests/proficiency check will be selected by the inspector forexamination of the ‘applicant’ by the DCP applicant. Having agreed withthe inspector the content of the test, the DCP applicant will be expectedto manage the entire test. This will include briefing, the conduct of theflight, assessment and debriefing of the ‘applicant’. The inspector/seniorDCP will discuss the assessment with the DCP applicant before the‘applicant’ is debriefed and informed of the result.1 st Edition Page 13 of 80 May, 2011(Note: For senior pilots who had functioned as DCP but been grounded dueto medical reasons, the <strong>Authority</strong> may waive one or more of the aboverequirements, depending on the circumstances)In addition, DCP type B nominee shall :
