(Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong>)DCP <strong>Manual</strong>4.1.2 Air Operators are to contact the Director Flight Standards to process DCPnomination for onward approval by the Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong>.4.2 ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES4.2.1 Where the nominee is considered satisfactory, the Inspector of Pakistan<strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> shall, after a satisfactory monitored check,complete the recommendation block on the nomination form (Appendix A).The Director Flight Standards shall complete the second block. TheDirector Flight Standards shall then recommend to the Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong><strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> for approval of DCP authority using the appropriateAppendix, ensuring that a copy is retained on files and a copy isforwarded to the operator.4.3 ADDITION OF TYPE AUTHORITY TO EXISTING DCP APPROVAL4.3.1 A DCP nomination form (Appendix A) shall be submitted containing only theadditional information pertaining to the additional privileges requested. Theapplication shall be signed and submitted as for an initial DCP approval.4.3.2 The Director Flight Standards, Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> shalldetermine whether the request is warranted and verify the nominee'squalifications.4.3.3 Where the request is for addition of PPC/IRT authority the candidate shalldemonstrate the ability to conduct PPCs.4.3.4 When the nominee has met all requirements, a revised DCP approval shallbe issued. The revised approval shall be annotated 'This approvalsupersedes and cancels the approval dated (previous approval date)."4.4 WITHDRAWAL OF DCP PRIVILEGES4.4.1 DCP privileges may be withdrawn by the Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong>in part or in whole without assigning any reason thereof. In these cases,Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> will issue a notice of suspension to theDCP concerned and inform the Air Operator affected. Where there is animmediate threat to safety this privilege can be withdrawnimmediately.4.4.2 The Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> may withdraw a DCP's authority ifevidence shows that the DCP has:1 st Edition Page 18 of 80 May, 2011a) at any time, acted in a manner which is in contravention of the guidelinescontained in this manual or in breach of the trust placed by the <strong>Authority</strong>on the DCP;b) placed a personal interest, or the interest of the company, ahead of theinterest of the travelling public;c) failed to attend the required initial or refresher training;
