Underextenuating circumstances the Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> mayapprove checking authority without the DCP course, for a period asdefined by Flight Standards Directorate Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong>or, on new induction of Aircraft.b) Final handling check to be conducted by DCP A and shall be monitoredby an inspector of Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> in aircraft oralternately in the Flight Simulation Training Device.2.2 LOSS OF MEDICAL CATEGORY OF DCPA DCP Type A who has been declared medically unfit may continue withDCP duties, in approved Flight Simulation Training Device only,provided the following additional conditions are met:a) Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> is notified and appropriate approvalis obtained in writing;b) The DCP shall complete all requirements of the air operator’s on-typeapproved training program with the exception of line checks;2.3 CURRENCY REQUIREMENTS (RENEWAL) AND DCP REFRESHERTRAINING2.3.1 CURRENCY REQUIREMENTS FOR ACTIVE DCPS are :a) DCP Type A and B must have valid PPC and valid Instrument rating.b) DCP Type A and B :i) prior to being authorized to conduct Test or <strong>Check</strong> as applicable, theDCP must have completed a DCP course.ii) attend DCP refresher course (2.3.3) every 5 years from the date ofappointment or completion of the DCP course, whichever is later.Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> may grant 90-day extensionsunder extenuating circumstances. Extenuating circumstances couldbe illness or non-availability of a DCP course.Note : A DCP (Medically unfit ) should undergo DCP course prior to andDCP refresher course successively once in every five years.1 st Edition Page 14 of 80 May, 2011c) DCP Type A must conduct at least ten (10) PPC and IRTs every 12months or their delegated authority will be revoked. Concession to thisrequirement may be given, under special circumstances, at thediscretion of Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong>.
