Category II and or Category III Approach <strong>Check</strong>s; and LVTO5.1.2 A DCP Type A may conduct a re-test of a failed PPC or IRT providedPakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> is informed. An Inspector shallconduct/monitor a second re-test of a failed PPC/IRT.5.1.3 A DCP may conduct a semi-annual PPC or IRT on a company executive orsupervisory pilot of the Air Operator who is senior to him/herself if thatexecutive or supervisor has satisfactorily completed his/her annual PPC withan Inspector.5.1.4 A DCP may conduct both the recurrent training and recurrent check ride onthe same candidate with prior approval from Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong><strong>Authority</strong> for justified reasons. In each case the written justification mustalso be placed on the candidates' file for each occurrence, for auditpurposes. Where this occurs, the next recurrent PPC/IRT shall beconducted by a different DCP, or if none is available, Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong><strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> Inspector (either conducting or monitoring).5.1.5 A DCP will not conduct a PPC on an Inspector unless Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong><strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> has granted specific authority.5.2 INSPECTOR’S TESTING RESPONSIBILITIES5.2.1 The following checks must be conducted by an Inspector of Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong><strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> or a senior DCP who is specifically approved by the<strong>Authority</strong> in writing:a) Initial endorsement flight/skill test for award of a Licence or an aircrafttype rating on the licence and/or Initial Route <strong>Check</strong> (IRC)*b) Initial Instrument Flight <strong>Check</strong>*c) re-check of a failed PPC I IRT/IRCd) annual PPC renewal or biennial renewal of each DCP Type A;e) a Base <strong>Check</strong> on an Air Operator pilot when the Air Operator has noauthorized DCP Type A; and1 st Edition Page 23 of 80 May, 2011f) a PPC or IRT on each executive or supervisory pilot senior to the DCP atleast once each year.Note: * In case of non-availability of an Inspector, the authority toconduct this check may be delegated by Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong><strong>Authority</strong> to a DCP on a case to case basis.5.2.2 In addition to the check flights detailed above that must be conducted by anInspector, Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong> shall reserve the right to
