(Pakistan <strong>Civil</strong> <strong>Aviation</strong> <strong>Authority</strong>)DCP <strong>Manual</strong>and emergency procedures and limitations set out in the aeroplaneflight manual, aeroplane operating manual, (if applicable), the airoperator's standard operating procedures, the check list, and anyother information relating to the operation of the aeroplane type;iii) departure, en-route and arrival instrument procedures and otherapplicable procedures; andiv) adherence to approved procedures.d) Initial and recurrent <strong>Pilot</strong> Proficiency <strong>Check</strong>s shall be conducted on acombination of an approved Flight Simulation Training Device certified toLevel 4 or higher and a Full Flight - Flight Simulation Training Device ora combination of an approved Flight Simulation Training Device certifiedto Level 6 or higher and the aeroplane.e) For turbo-jet aeroplanes of 50 or more seats initial and recurrent <strong>Pilot</strong>Proficiency <strong>Check</strong>s shall be conducted on a Full Flight-Flight SimulationTraining Device or a combination of a Full Flight- Flight SimulationTraining Device and a flight-training device certified to Level 4 or higher.Location of the synthetic training device will not be considered inapplying this standard.f) The synthetic training device level of checking shall be part of thetraining program approval for each aeroplane type. <strong>Check</strong>ing proceduresnot approved for the Flight Simulation Training Device shall becompleted in the aeroplane. The configuration of the Flight SimulationTraining Device shall closely resemble that of the aeroplane used by theair operator.1 st Edition Page 54 of 80 June, 2009g) A proficiency check of a pilot-in-command shall be completed in the seatnormally occupied by the pilot-in-command and a check of a second-incommandshall be completed in the seat normally occupied by thesecond-in-command. The pilot proficiency check shall consist of ademonstration of both pilot flying (PF) duties and pilot not flying (PNF)duties.h) The PPC shall not be conducted as an isolated group of emergencyprocedures and drills. It shall be constructed with minimum disruption ina logical continuous flow reflecting a normal flight profile. Normally thepilot proficiency check is a pre-programmed activity; however, the personconducting the check may require any manoeuvre or procedure from theappropriate Schedule, necessary to determine the proficiency of thecrew and to confirm that the crew can operate the aeroplane safely.i) Where a pilot successfully completes the pilot proficiency check, the pilotis considered as having successfully completed the flight checkrequirements for the renewal of the applicable instrument rating.
